Studies in Attachment
This series explores grafting as a metaphor for the adoptee experience and the body as a site of loss, longing and reconnection, Branches expand and connect, referencing both family trees and ancestral roots. Their forms are also reflected within the human body — from lungs to the nervous system and bloodstream. The joining of natural and human-made materials invites reflection upon nature versus nurture, biomimicry, and relational attachment to between people, and the natural world.
